Welcome!

Matthew 19:13-5

One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” And he placed his hands on their heads and blessed them before he left.

Hello parents!  We are so excited your family is joining our Virtual Sunday School! We are going to have so much fun! My team and I designed the program to be both entertaining and educational.  We are also trying to meet the needs of many age groups so some of the activities may be a little difficult if your child is young.  It might be a good idea to sit with your child during the lesson and help him or her so your child will feel successful.  If your child is a little older he or she might enjoy being young at heart for a little while.  Our goal is to make it so fun your child looks forward to the program every week. Each child is unique and learns differently.  Some may embrace the memory verse and hand motions, while others may just want to watch that part but throw themselves into the songs.  That's okay.  We want each child to experience the class in their own way.  During the songs they can sing or hum along, dance, play the jingle bells or have their puppet sing with them for EVERY song.  We have included fun work sheets that correspond with the lesson but some children may not be interested in them and that's okay.

Each month we will be giving you new supplies for the craft projects. If you run out of anything, like glue or paint, please let us know and we  will provide you with more at that time.  Please make sure you wash out the brushes and water bowl after each use.  We hope your child enjoys them but if not, and you have    suggestions, feel free to reach out to me.  We want to make this experience the best it can be so we would appreciate any feed back, good or bad.

It is VERY important that the basket only be used during Virtual Sunday School.  To keep costs down for the church we can't replace  lost items. PLEASE take very good care of your basket.  You and your child can log in to watch and participate as much as you would like but please keep everything together each time.     Virtual Sunday School will not be nearly as fun for your child if they don't have all the materials originally provided.  I tried to be very careful and make sure each basket has everything your child needs but if, while watching the program, you notice I missed something please reach out to me so I can get you the missing item as soon as possible.

Before you even watch this week's lesson there is a fun craft to do.  The first song we sing is the B-I-B-L-E song.  Inside your basket are letter blocks to decorate.  Your child can use the crayons and paint that are in the basket or anything you have around the house.  Once your child is happy with their art he or she can use the glue stick provided and mount them on the construction papers attached to the letters.  Have fun and happy Virtual Sunday School!
