God does nothing except in answer to prayer.
- John Wesley
One of the greatest responsibilities for the church is prayer. At FCC we believe in prayer as the main tool in getting connected as it relates to God. But prayer is also the catalyst in bringing about change in the lives of the church and into our Community of Madera. To this end we use the following emphases to help us as a church family.
FCC Prayer Team
Each Sunday morning this team gathers together to seek God on behalf of the church and the folks who will be attending the services. The first portion of time is spent in concerted prayer to establish the connection between God and the team. This is followed by a time of prayer over the facility. The FCC Prayer Team fans out blessing the classrooms, walkways, parking lot and all parts of the worship auditorium and stage area.
Interceders are needed to continue the battle by carrying the needs of the church into God's presence in a concerted way. Each week a single topic is selected and then in unity the issue is bathed in prayer. This ministry meets at FCC Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Please join us.

Within the context of the morning service there is at times a need for a more direct or focused time of prayer for an individual. Prayer Hosts are prayer warriors trained to bring God's power to bear upon the situation. This team moves forward from among the audience to pray over individuals who have come forward requesting prayer.

Prayer does not fit us for the greater work, prayer is the greater work. -Oswald Chambers
